Access over ownership

Mission

The Minnesota Tool Library’s mission is to cultivate a more resilient and equitable community and reduce waste by empowering residents with access to tools, training, and work spaces.

How does the Tool Library work?

  1. Sign up for one of our membership levels
  2. Check out any of our thousands of tools
  3. Use the workshop space
  4. Take a class

Tool Inventory Party @ SPTL
Sunday, October 13th 1:30 – 3:30pm

MTL'ers know barcodes make everything better!

Join us after shop close at SPTL to sort, tidy, and process a bunch of new tools for our inventory and prepare others for next week's Tool Sale/Swap!

No Experience necessary - we just need you to help process donations. Our staff will find just the right task for you and provide direction. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

No RSVP needed - come for the whole time or just lend a hand for half an hour. It's supposed to be cold and yucky out - so come build community and help out in the shop.
